Buying a new car: The negotiation phase and the dealer tricks
When buying a new car, you need to be very careful not to let your self tricked by dealers into actually paying more than the car is worth. Salespersons receive hard training on how to trick the customer into buying a car they don’t even like or want.

You have to learn to be shrewd too, so here are a few tips and tricks that will help you go through the negotiation part much easier - buying a new car made easy:
- After you have made a deal, do not rush to take your car home. Go home, sleep on it, and if you are truly decided then come back and it is yours. Sometimes, on the sour of the moment you might close a deal that is not even that advantageous to you; it is just the excitement of the moment that you are going to own your dream car.

- During the negotiation phase, make sure you don’t say too many times “yes”. Salespersons will entangle you to the point that you won’t even notice you actually agreed to buying new car.
Pay attention to what they are saying, but make sure that you take the decision on your own. Answering two or three times with “no” to their questions, will make them realize you have learned your homework and that you are not an easy target. The ultimate decision is only yours, not the dealer’s.
- Always think twice over any decision that you are about to take. What may sound as a very advantageous offer from the part of the salesperson, may actually be a big win –win only for him!
